Fastenal came to us to improve their service management process and modernize their portal experience.


Fastenal is an industrial supply company and is the largest distributor of OEM, MRO, construction, industrial, and safety products in North America. Based in Winona, Minnesota. Fastenal has over 2,600 branches throughout the US, Canada, Mexico and Europe along with 13 distribution centers. Fastenal also offers services including inventory management, manufacturing, and tool repair.

The Challenge

Fastenal wanted to create a multi-department portal that allowed users to make requests from different departments without the experience feeling disjointed or siloed. They also wanted to leverage NewRocket’s catalog consulting experience to redefine their request process.

The Solution

We implemented a single portal that unified the various departments with a consistent look and navigation structure that enables users to make requests quickly and easily. The portal features custom widgets that allow users to search for people and locations through the portal.
